Hawkestone Farmers Market

Local vendors came to sell local organic produce, local maple syrup, herbs and perrenials for the garden, homemade jams and jellies, fresh baked bread and pies. Ontario corn a dozen for $6 is a good deal but the cob and pop for $1.50 is an inexpensive snack especially when th. Have never had a Samosa before.
Handcrafted clothing made from recycled textiles is very appealing and some amazing hand turned wooden bowls and rolling pins round out the crafts am am sure will be a hit with the cottagers and locals alike.
Organised in a rush, the Hawkestone Farmers market looks like a hit from the traffic on Allen St. and that "Apple of my Pie" was sold OUT of pies before the "official Opening". I am looking forward to more Fridays in the park, munching ,eating local and enjoying the sounds of local musicians.
